ILLUSTRATOR AND GRAPHIC ARTIST

ABOUT

I created two posters for the TEN09 Table at the D.C Art Book Fair. “Yearning to Breathe” (Top) and “Exhale Love” (Bottom).

My concept was to create a visual expression of moving forward to the unknown despite conflict or apprehension. The best way I could visualize this was to use a figure in vintage diving suit while “exploring” outer space. After a series of sketches I used a reductive printing process on a woodblock to create an edition of 6 prints.

ABOUT ME
Most of my education has been directed towards the visual arts. I can bring creative solutions and insight to my work. As a student, I have conducted research for various projects and I am well versed with the use of the web and maintaining organized notes. I have also become very proficient with various computer programs, including many of the Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite programs. I have Military experience as a Non-commissioned Officer and I am willing to lead and adjust to a fluctuating work environment.
I am visual artist that specializes in sketch illustration, graphic design and editorial design. I’ve been classically trained as a fine artist though I excel with dry mediums, I am a capable painter and digital artist. While most of my techniques and style continues to grow, I have a personal preference for gritty and old-fashioned design and artistic elements. I crave new creative experiences and I’ve experimented with non-traditional art forms as well as book making and print making.
